TorcUP is Pleased to Announce TorcUP MED

01 October 2008

After almost a decade spent as the official dealer for the Italian market, Drives has expanded its sale range to the entire Mediterranean basin, facing new commercial demands. This is the reason why a wider agreement had been reached in 2007 with John Kovacs to create TorcUP Med, the Mediterranean branch of TorcUP.

Nowadays, TorcUP Med is regarded as a high profile point of reference of TorcUP in Southern Europe: the reliable and qualified subsidiary directly linked to the American head office. TorcUP Med is the official and exclusive dealer for the countries of the Mediterranean basin, including Italy, France, Switzerland, Austria, Balkans, Greece and Northern Africa (Maghreb).

While granting complete assistance in sales, on-site demonstrations, technical support, service and maintenance, TorcUP Med is focusing on small sectorial off-centered trade shows that are less expensive and less followed by competitors. This has been an effective way to brake into new product sectors with a high payback. Fields that had shown interest in TorcUP products are nowadays the petrochemical industry, construction industry, traditional and nuclear power plants, shipyards, railway industry, mining industry, and more are going to be explored in the near future.

One of the TorcUP Med's strengths, apart from dealing top quality tools and delivering reliable technical assistance and support, is the close connection with Drive's, its commercial partner. While the other competitors are simple trade companies, Drives has been manufacturing sockets for over 30 years. Due to a high flexibility, Drives is able to produce custom-made devices and spare parts to fully meet even the most demanding needs of the customers.
