Aanestad Engineering - Bulk Materials Handling Systems

Aanestad Engineering, founded in 1987, is one of the leading manufacturers of conveyor belt systems. The Norway-based firm delivers solutions for handling sand, gravel, chippings and bulk material to suit all purposes and sizes, tailor made to each material.

With experience delivering conveyor systems, chain conveyors, elevators, vibrational feeders fluidised beds, shakers, sieves and dischargers, Aanestad has skilled personnel who can solve nearly any challenge, ranging from steel and metal works to complex hydraulic components. The systems are tested during manufacturing and delivered ready to use to the customer.

PEOPLE AND FACILITIES

The company currently has 60 employees. Its plant at Forus near Stavanger in Norway comprises 5,200m² of covered production premises from which Aanestad supplies complete systems from the drawing board to final product. In addition, the company’s sub-suppliers have a large capacity for mechanical production. Some production is also out-sourced to partners in Norway and abroad in order to execute and deliver major projects to meet tight delivery times.

RUGGED CONVEYOR SYSTEMS

Offshore constructions require optimal systems and high standards for both the safety of personnel and the environment. A complete set of documentation is therefore an essential part of all Aanestad deliveries. Products are delivered according to NORSOK standard or according to specifications from the customer. In addition, the company utilises only fully qualified technicians for all installation tasks. It is also certified by Achilles.

In many cases, conveyor systems are subject to rough handling, so Aanestad builds their systems to cope with all the stresses of the offshore environment. The company is broadly recognised for this commitment to durability and quality.

Even products manufactured to the highest possible standards occasionally break. Recognising this fact, Aanestad has highly qualified service personnel available to assist with any eventuality on short notice to ensure continuity.

The design department, comprised of highly qualified staff, performs challenging engineering work from concept studies through project design. Customers can provide drawings or specifications of a particular problem, and Aanestad will supply turnkey concept solutions, naturally accompanied by full documentation.
