Structure-Flex Continues to Invest in the Czech Republic

Structure-flex Limited of Melton Constable has made further significant investments in its sister company, Structure-flex CZ in the Czech Republic.
Structure-flex CZ manufactures commercial vehicle curtains and has the capacity to produce round slings up to 10m circ, 5ewl and any size simplex/duplex from its factory in Decin; it plays a crucial role in the on-going success of Structure-flex's business.
Structure-flex is making the two-fold investment in order to consolidate its venture in what is still a relatively new free-market economy. "The team at Structure-flex CZ is likely face both sales and production challenges in the coming months," says Structure-flex Managing Director, Ian Doughty. "Consequently, I have recruited Chris Doughty to act as guide and mentor to the Czech management team, and to bring the latest working practices and process skills to the embryonic company."
To further strengthen the company's impact on the market, the company has made a £120,000 investment in a Gandi Innovations Jeti grand format, full colour digital printer with a 3.2 metre width capacity, which is providing Structure-flex with a vehicle curtain manufacturing capability far in advance of other UK curtain makers.
"Chris has been involved with this process in other companies for the past 20 years," says Ian Doughty. "There are currently very few such machines in Eastern Europe, so this investment will ensure that we remain a major player in this field."Additionally, Structure-flex has installed a set of sophisticated ink scales, which enables perfect colour mixing to a specific pantone reference number. A similar set of scales has also been installed in the UK factory to facilitate perfect colour matching between graphics printed in differing locations.
Structure-flex has a deserved reputation for the supply of high quality, cost effective solutions within the packaging industry. The latest investments in Structure-flex CZ's personnel and capital equipment will help consolidate the supply of premium vehicle tension curtains to its clients, and enable it to play an increasing role in the future success of the Structure-flex group of companies.
