Campbell Machine Company have taken delivery of their first new CNC turning centre, part of an ongoing £1,000,000 investment plan. The Doosan Puma 700LM is a state-of-the-art CNC turning centre. The 700/800 series are the most powerful machines in their class.

They are designed for heavy interrupted cutting, holding long-term accuracies and maintaining superior finishes. High metal removal rates along with rapid positioning and high speed turret indexing, guarantee unmatched cycle times when real performance is essential, perfect for the oil and gas industry work that Campbell's manufactures.

Components include sub-sea connectors, hubs and flanges, valve components, ROV parts and tooling. With a turning capability of 900mm diameter and a 3200mm bed length, this vastly increases Campbell’s current capacity, offering greater flexibility to their customers. "We believe that the only way forward is investment in state-of-the-art equipment, this will help to win further new contracts and further expand operations on Teesside."

With more machines to follow in October this year and in 2008, Campbell Machine Company are building a positive future.
