Established in Melbourne in 1988, Amiga Engineering manufactures and supplies a full range of pipe flanges, swivel flanges, self-reinforced nozzles, long weldnecks, buttweld fittings, tubeplates and hydrocyclone plates in a range of forged materials including carbon steel in normal, low temperature and high yield, stainless steel including duplex and super duplex, high nickel alloys, incalloy, hesalloy and a full range of plate materials including titanium, mild steel and stainless steel used for both the onshore and subsea requirements of the oil and gas industry.

Swivel flanges

Swivel flanges from Amiga Engineering are fully engineered to suit the most demanding applications, taking into account moments and forces on subsea equipment and pipelines.

Hydrocyclone plates

Specialised tube plates with porting and integral outlets for cyclones are also available from Amiga Engineering.

Self-reinforced nozzles

With integral weld preparation to suit side intrusions into vessels taking up stress due to hole removal, self-reinforced nozzles from Amiga Engineering are ideally suited to offshore applications.

A wide range of materials is used for the manufacture of Amiga Engineering products, such as carbon steel- A105N, AS3678-250, AS1548-7-460R; low temp carbon steel- A350-LF2, LF3; high yield carbon- A694-F52, F56, F60, F65, F70; stainless steel- A182-F304, F316, F321; duplex stainless- A182-F51(SAF2205), F53(SAF2507), Zeron 100; high nickel alloys- monel, incalloy, hesalloy; plate- A240-F304, F316; aluminium; titanium; and mild steel.

Quality assurance

Amiga Engineering products are engineered to the following standards:

All the company’s products are thoroughly tested and inspected to rigorous standards. They are NDT Qualified Personnel NATA endorsed and undergo magnetic particle inspection, ultrasonic inspection, G48 corrosion and pitting test, sigma phase testing, charpy impact testing of materials and tensile and chemical analysis. Heat treatment records are kept.

All items manufactured by Amiga Engineering are despatched complete with test certificates. NATA approved NDT testing can be arranged on request. Third party witnessing for more stringent traceability and individual customer specifications is also available.

A quality assurance audit is available on request. We have manuals in compliance with ISO 9002. We envisage moving to ISO 9000 in the future. The oil and petrochemical, mining and automotive industries are the sectors supplied by Amiga Engineering.
