AUTOMATIC FILLING NOZZLES FOR DANGEROUS LIQUIDS

Additionally ARTA offers two systems for the safe transfer of poisonous gases, corrosive and flammable liquids: the AR-Filler has a filling unit and the AR-Defiller as a discharge fitting.

The filling unit as a multi-dock system and handles the product, gas displacement and overflow lock connections in a single coupling procedure. Depending on requirements, various overflow sensors can be fitted. When combined with the appropriate dry coupling, it is possible to prevent material from escaping when hoses become disconnected from the unit.

The discharge fitting can be used to fully empty a variety of containers. The high level of emptying represents a positive step in the recycling of containers as after-run from hose and fitting are prevented. The discharge fitting operates with a pump and switches off as soon as the container is empty.

HYGIENIC COUPLING SYSTEMS

Hygiene is of paramount concern in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and food-processing industries. Based in Diez, Germany, ARTA develops and produces stainless-steel fittings to meet their needs.

Many projects reflect the high hygienic standards of what has become an increasingly global stage for pharmaceutical manufacturers. Surface quality and the need for FDA-compliant materials have made stainless-steel fittings the de-facto standard. ARTA has played a key role in developing stainless-steel fitting systems that prevent the accidental release of the product or the incursion of impurities.

A good example is ARTA's dry-fitting ASK-CP system. Designed as a gap-free system consisting of two parts, ASK-CP offers users a choice of three CIP-capable connector types: sterile screw, sterile flange or sterile clamp. ASK-CP is mountable in both flow directions and can be easily rinsed. A turning knuckle in integrated in the fitting for quick, torsion free connections.

ARTICULATED PIPE SYSTEMS IN PLANT ENGINEERING

Hose lines are often exposed to a multiplicity of external and internal stresses in the form of bending, torsion, temperature, pressure and chemical attack. The GRS articulated pipe system helps to absorb these stresses. Vibration and strain between units is reduced and the flexibility of the hose increased.

The system consists of a combination of ADG rotary joints with pipes, flanges and elbows. Designed to be adapted to the conveyed medium's pressure and properties as well as to structural conditions, these articulated systems are suitable for practically all fields of application.
