Kerkau is a global supplier and manufacturer of precision-machined parts, castings and forgings. We manufacture and distribute a full line of pipe flanges, and also provide custom and high-volume production machining to the oil, gas, automotive, defense and equipment industries.

We manufacture 100% of all parts domestically in Bay City, Michigan, USA, and have Canadian registration numbers on file for all provinces.

High-quality pipe flanges

Kerkau has ISO 9001:2000 certification, is API Q1-approved and TS-16949 compliant. we make parts in accordance with ANSI, JIS and DIN50049/EN10204 3.1 standards. All flanges are 100% machined and quality tested by our committed quality-inspection team with modern equipment. In addition, our quality department has a member who sits on the B16.5 sub-committee for the pipe flange industry.

Mill test reports are available for all items, and we have ISO and PED-approved forging suppliers.

Carbon-steel and stainless-steel flanges

Threaded pipe flanges

All threaded pipe flanges offered by Kerkau are single-point threaded, rather than gang-threaded. We have the capability to make left-handed threads and British standard pipe threads (BSPT).

Orifice flange unions

Kerkau provides orifice flange units complete with gaskets, nuts, bolts and jack screws. Orifice flange unions are available in socket weld, slip-on, threaded, and weld neck styles, and from 1/2in 300# and above in A105, 304/304L and 316/316L materials.

Specialty flange treatments

Kerkau offers clear zinc and yellow coating, galvanized, normalized and unpainted (treated with special rust-inhibitor) treatments for specialty flanges.

Brass, copper, hastelloy, titanium, monels and aluminium flanges

In addition to various carbon steels and stainless steels 304/304L & 316/316L, Kerkau has the capability to machine flanges in brass, copper, hastelloy, titanium, monels and aluminium.

Facings and joints

Kerkau offers small and large male and female facings, small and large tongue and groove facings and ring-type joints.

Special machined flanges

Precision machining services

Kerkau is a precision machining specialist. We can service low-volume and prototype runs, work to tight deadlines, and have the ability to gauge and monitor high-volume production. Our engineer can create and interpret drawings for any product.

Our tooling engineer keeps Kerkau up to date on new technology and helps implement cost savings, which is passed along to our customers. Our computer-numerical machines can turn, bore, drill, ream, tap, mill and contour any material up to 2,500lbs. We can machine a wide variety of materials, including aluminum, copper, stainless steel, carbon steel, and castings.

High-volume production runs

Kerkau maintains precision in high-production runs through the use of quality measures such as statistical process control, capabilities studies, and control charts. Kerkau’s ability to produce high-volume runs with little to no deviation adds value to every product. We pride ourselves on the turn around time from production quote to job completion.

Flange and pipe component delivery

Kerkau maintains an immense and diverse inventory on site, including many hard-to-find items, which are ready for same-day shipment. Normal delivery is two days; however same-day delivery is also available. We are capable of packaging for export shipment.

To ensure our products are delivered on time, it is Kerkau's policy to use the fastest and most cost-efficient freight carrier. We have access to many freight carriers and are able to pass our discounts onto our customers. More than 130 carriers currently ship from Kerkau, providing a variety of shipping alternatives.
