With more than 100 years' experience of delivering piping solutions to the Danish industry, L&H-Rørbyg, part of the Kemp & Lauritzen group, is a leading engineering company focusing on HVAC, fire fighting systems, district heating, industrial piping, stainless piping and modular units.

In December 2010 L&H-Rørbyg took over the industrial service activities of Promecon. With the acquisition we have gained in-depth knowledge of refineries, on and offshore industries and the energy sector, allowing us to work with larger scale and more specialised projects in these areas.

Prefabricated spools and units

Prefabrication of pipe spools, structural steel and skid units is a speciality of L&H-Rørbyg. Our workshops for prefabrication are simply outstanding and our people are professional craftsmen with many years' experience in modular engineering. No matter the scale of a project, we deliver quality welding with millimetre precision.

Using the GOM Tritop system, we carry out 3D surveys of spools whenever relevant to ensure accuracy. Prefabricated solutions for skids or units should be considered whenever possible, as they ensure safer production, better quality, and a faster and more economical process. Units can be delivered with their components ready installed and quality control and tests can be carried out before the unit is installed on site.

We meet all technical specifications as well as uncompromising demands on safety, staff and materials related to working offshore. Offshore operations maintenance

Shutting down your production for maintenance is a very costly but necessary measure to ensure a smooth and safe future operation. At L&H-Rørbyg we know that every minute of a shutdown counts and that everything must go according to plan once the operation is set in motion.

We have undertaken major shutdowns with more than 4,000 activities and hundreds of men involved. The key to a successful shutdown is careful planning and tight project management, which our experienced teams handle with the confidence possessed only by highly professional specialists. We expect the unexpected and are always prepared to handle unforeseen challenges, with extra staff ready to be drafted in if necessary.

Long-term maintenance agreements for offshore facilities

L&H-Rørbyg offers a permanent service contract and has the expertise and experience required to work out solutions for maintenance and current servicing of all types of facilities. Our technical staff carries state-of-the-art welding equipment and solves the most complicated tasks here and now, 24/7. We know the written and unwritten rules of the workplace and our teams will cooperate with your staff and do their best to naturally fit into your routines.

Tank refurbishment for the offshore industry

L&H-Rørbyg has been carrying out tank refurbishment within the oil and chemical industries for many years. Our staff is certified in the use of EEMUA 159 standards for tank assessment. We undertake inspection and analysis of the state of the tank in question and recommend a course of action according to the methodology of this standard. This is your guarantee that maintenance and repair work is designed and carried out in keeping with all environmental and safety requirements.

Protective geomembranes for corrosion protection in tanks

Corrosion in tanks poses a great safety risk to people working on the facilities and to the environment. A corroded tank can cause leakage of potentially damaging substances into the environment.

In connection with a planned tank refurbishment it can be wise to install a protective geomembrane, which is resistant to the potentially damaging substances stored in the tank. Via a drain running to the outside of the tank the membrane can be checked for future tank leaks and damage can be repaired to avoid any environmental impact.
