Torgy Mek - Pipe and Cable Fastening Products Hydraulic Clamps

Today Torgy Mek is the leading company in Norway when it comes to pipe and cable fastening in the offshore and shipbuilding industries. The company supplies a wide range of pipe clamps, slide units / clamp lining, hydraulic clamps and related services.

We have more than 50 years of experience and have been involved in all projects on the Norwegian sector of the North Sea.

PIPE CLAMPS

Pipe clamps are produced according to ship-building standards, heavier offshore standards or customers' own standards. Our products range from simple flat bar pipe clamps to rubber lined U-bolts with support plates, both GRIP and NON-GRIP type. The pipe clamps are made of carbon steel, stainless / alloy steel lines with clamp lining for pipe sizes of 1/2in up to 48in. Temperature range is dependent on the clamp lining being used.

Our stock program includes sizes from 1/2in up to 8in and both stainless steel as well as hot dipped galvanised carbon steel.

PIPE SUPPORT

Pipe support such as shoes, trunnions, support pads and structural steel is produced according to customer drawings and specifications. We keep the most commonly used types and sizes in stock to ensure short delivery times for our customers. This applies to both clamped shoes and welded shoes used together with wear plates.

SLIDE UNITS / CLAMP LINING

Slide units / clamp lining for different applications like low friction slide units, acoustic damping units or cold isolating units as well as isolating pads is part of our program. We have most raw materials available as plates in stock, enabling us to rapidly produce the most commonly used bearing units. This is also true for our different clamp lining that we have available in various widths and lengths, as well as plates.

We are using a soft, but very strong rubber type (Hypalon) as our normal clamp lining, but high temperature clamp lining can be supplied on request. We can supply clamp lining from -100°C up to +550°C.

HYDRAULIC CLAMPS

Hydraulic clamps are delivered in three series: standard clamps, double clamps and heavy duty clamps in polypropylene, self-extinguishing polyamide with top and bottom plates in stainless -steel and or -zinc-plated steel.

FABRICATION

With our newly opened production facility in Latvia we are able to deliver competitive fabrication works ranging from general frames to smaller modules.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

We have a modern production facility with 6,000m² of production and warehouse space. In recent years we have invested modern machinery in order to maintain our competitiveness with respect to cost and delivery times.

We have invested in automated machinery such as laser cutting, plasma cutting and water jet cutting. We are continuously working on improving our production processes to reduce costs and maintain the quality we are well known for.
