Agito is the international distributor of SimulationX® software for the oil and gas industries. PhDsoft provides world-leading technology for maintenance of structures and equipment. These two companies will work together to ensure that their state-of-the-art software products are available worldwide.
Modeling and simulation of dynamic systems
Agito, located in the heart of Norway's subsea industry, is an innovative engineering company that specialises in performing modeling and simulation of dynamic systems. The software used is SimulationX, developed by ITI in Germany. That is also the software they distribute.
SimulationX software
Historically, numerical modeling and simulation of complex dynamic systems has been reserved for a small group of highly specialized engineers. With SimulationX, these tasks are much easier.
SimulationX is the universal CAE tool that is the trendsetter in physical system simulation. This software tool is unique in terms of library integration, modeling comfort and flexibility, with an up-to-date user front end.
SimulationX software includes ready-to-use standard subsea component models. The subsea hydraulic library includes models, such as hydraulic power units (surface hydraulic and subsea hydraulic power units), subsea valves (subsea gate valves and subsea ball valves), umbilicals, subsea control modules and subsea compensators (spring-loaded piston compensator, spring loaded diaphragm compensator and bladder compensator).
Benefits of SimulationX software
SimulationX software has the following benefits:
- Accurate analysis of dynamic systems
- Reduced development costs
- Reduced development times
- Improved product design
- Virtual testing under real conditions
Technology for structures and static equipment maintenance
PhDsoft provides world-leading technology for the maintenance of structures and static equipment. The software C4D® ("see 4D") means to see 3D structures that may vary across time - the fourth dimension. The software is designed to foresee and show changes in 3D models along time. C4D offers an innovative approach to structural maintenance by integrating and automating the management.
Research shows that most mechanical failures arise from faults in structures and other static equipment, for example ship hulls. The maintenance regime for such structures historically involved periodic inspections to assess condition by observation and measurements - with the aim of monitoring corrosion, cracking and coating deterioration. These paper-based reports and drawings did not ensure a high-quality, reliable and effective management system.
The solution is C4D. By maintaining an up-to-date status of structure condition with a comprehensive history of inspections and repairs and tracking steel and coating degradation, C4D simulates deterioration processes to predict future condition - allowing maintenance actions to be planned and executed effectively.
Benefits of C4D
- C4D provides the following benefits:
- Produces corrosion rates and statistics
- Automatically outlines areas and determines materials needed for repair
- Calculates areas for shot-blasting
- Estimates paint areas and volumes
- Automatically sizes and positions anodes
With Agito and PhDsoft joining forces, representatives are available in Brazil, UK, the US and Norway. Regional technical support with qualified engineers is available.
