Multiphase Solutions, Inc. has Installed a Pipeline Management System for Sarawak Shell Berhad

Multiphase Solutions, Inc. (MSi) of Houston, TX, has recently installed another Virtual Pipeline Manager™ (VPM) package for a complex multiphase pipeline network that feeds an LNG facility in Sarawak, Malaysia. This facility has been in existence for several years now, and has historically been plagued with the operational issues of gas delivery, gas quality blending and liquids handling, through the whole gamut of startup, shutdown, rampup, rampdown and scraper run events.
Sarawak Shell Berhad, the facility operator, has gone through an extensive search for field-proven multiphase technology for addressing their pipeline management problems. They subsequently identified MSi as the only vendor with a proven track record of delivering real-time, on-line systems for pipeline management and control. Phase I of the project has been completed, and Phase II involves two other similarly complex multiphase pipeline networks feeding the other LNG trains.
