ENGINEERING

A complete engineering service can be supplied by Submec. The services supported range from front end engineering Design (FEED), conceptual design, detail design and engineering, finite element analysis and structural analysis, preparation of specifications, electrical or hydraulic design, operation and maintenance procedures and development of products. With the support of several independent engineering companies, hydraulic, electronics and pneumatics are taken care of with expertise.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Any project can be made complicated but our aim is to keep it simple. Almost any project that involves carrying out any non-repetitive task can be classed as a project. Whether that project requires one person or a team of people to complete the task, it is the organisation and the mix of the individuals involved that get the project completed on time and on budget whilst maintaining quality.

DESIGN SERVICE

Submec has several outstanding mechanical designers on staff. They have the ability to enhance the styling and function of an existing design or product, or take an idea from a sketch or thought and bring it to reality. We have designed products for clients who knew what they wanted but did not know how to or had the resources to accomplish the task.

DRAFTING SERVICE

Submec’s drafting team works on modern CAD workstations running Solidworks, Inventor, Mechanical Desktop, AutoCad and Cosmos. We use the client’s setup if requested so the completed files look exactly like their own. All our draftsmen work in accordance with Australian standards (AS1100 etc.) or to the standard requested by the client.

CONCEPTUAL / PROTOTYPE

Using the power of 3D solid modeling software a virtual reality prototype can be developed. Our designers and engineers can discuss and sketch a concept with a client, and within a short time a virtual reality design is available for that presentation. This makes the virtual reality design a valuable tool for the marketing and sales staff; they can show the clients a new product or concept without having to develop the whole product. The virtual reality also helps the engineers to determine problem areas o improving the product early in its development.
