The hire fleet consists of air and gas compressors manufactured to different standards, volumes and pressure levels as well as portable steam generator units and a full range of ancillary equipment necessary for the completion of major offshore operations and applications.

Designed for ease of use and service accessibility, our compressors and steam generators are specifically developed for use in both Zone 2 and safe areas. Coates maintains a highly skilled team of engineers and operators that provides high-quality service support to the hire fleet. Our engineers and operators are trained in the operation, application and servicing of all offshore hire equipment at a global level.

OFFSHORE COMPRESSORS – ZONE 2, SAFEZONE AND RIGSAFE

Most of our offshore compressor rental fleet features Ingersoll-Rand, Sullair and Joy air ends and Caterpillar engines. However, this is the limit of standardisation within our product range. Product redesign and refurbishment is a continuous process at Coates as we seek to provide enhanced and innovative protection solutions against harsh offshore environments. We operate Zone 2 machines with Pyroban exhaust gas cooling for hazardous area use as well as rigsafe air start or battery start for safe areas.

We have also introduced our own safe area enhancement, 'SafeZone', which contains marinised engines featuring low surface temperatures.

Pressures delivered using primaries and booster compressors can be up to 4,500psig (310barg) and installed spread capacities supplied in excess of 25,000cfm (700m³/min). With gas compression and nitrogen generation as well, we are able to engineer a solution for virtually all pressures and capacities used in offshore oil and gas development.

PRESSURE CONTROL VALVES, AFTERCOOLERS, OIL FILTERS AND HEAT EXCHANGERS

As well as providing comprehensive expertise in air and gas compression, Coates' fleet of modern steam generators is engineered to dual standards and comply with both European and ASME pressure vessel codes.

We produce other support equipment ranges, including air treatment technology (aftercoolers, oil removal filters and heat exchangers), hose and hard pipe distribution systems for air and steam, manifolds, receivers, pressure control valves and desiccant compressed air dryers.

The company rents whatever you require to complete almost any steam, air or gas compression requirement. Coates' hire fleet has recently been extended with the addition of vacuum pumps, power generation plant, centrifugal and triplex pumps. We source, supply, certify and support a complete range of third party equipment.

SERVICE AND OPERATIONS SUPPORT PERSONNEL

We also provide our experienced multi-skilled engineers to operate Coates equipment offshore, working alongside our customers' personnel as well as carrying out on-site servicing wherever exploration drilling, well testing, pipelines and maintenance work takes us.
