Aker Kvaerner Subsea - Subsea Production Systems, Umbilicals and Processing and Boosting Technology

Aker Kvaerner is a leading provider of subsea systems, solutions and services for the oil and gas industry. Aker Kvaerner supports all aspects of subsea field development, for both new and existing fields, either as the complete package or individual activities. Aker Kvaerner's ability as a worldwide total subsea system provider is backed by a wide portfolio of products which are maintained for the complete life-of-field.

ADVANCED UMBILICAL SYSTEMS

Aker Kvaerner is a world leader in the design and manufacture of steel tube umbilical systems. Over the past 15 years more than 2,200km of our umbilicals have been installed worldwide, often in some of the world’s deepest fields.

Our steel tube umbilical portfolio includes:

  • Carbon fibre enhanced deepwater dynamic umbilical
  • Electro-hydraulic umbilicals
  • Direct hydraulic umbilicals
  • Large centre tube integrated service umbilicals
  • Integrated Production Umbilicals™ (IPU™)
  • Medium and high voltage power umbilicals

SUBSEA PROCESSING AND BOOSTING TECHNOLOGY

Aker Kvaerner's state-of-the-art-processing and boosting technology is setting world records globally. Our creative team of engineers find solutions for tomorrow’s challenges. We deliver subsea pumps, separation and processing systems.

Our project reference list is impressive. The subsea multiphase pumping system has been installed in the CNR International Lyell field in the North Sea and on the BP King field in GoM. A subsea raw seawater injection system has formed part of Statoil’s Tyrihans project, representing the success of a new generation of pumping technology. We are also producing the subsea pilot compression system at 900m for Hydro’s Ormen Lange project. This is a world first for testing the viability of an alternative to an offshore platform.

Our subsea processing and boosting portfolio includes:

  • Multibooster
  • Liquidbooster™
  • Gasbooster™
  • Seabooster™ system
  • Deepbooster™
  • FlexSep™ system

RAPIDSOLUTION™

The new Aker Kvaerner a pre-configured tree system, RapidSolution™ provides a complete accelerated solution within a fraction of the traditional system lead times. RapidSolution™ will be ready for delivery from Q3/Q4 2008.

RapidSolution™ is a complete subsea tree system based on Aker Kvaerner’s Standard Configurable Tree (SCT ™). The new solution is built specifically for smaller subsea developments and tie-backs when developing resources close to existing offshore installations. The solution consists of proven standard stock components from the SCT™, iCon™ subsea control module and SB 18 ¾in wellhead system.

Benefits of RapidSolutionTM:

  • Reduced lead time
  • Reduced project risk
  • Field proven configured solutions
  • Increased controls of the supply chain to meet customer needs
  • Increased flexibility of solutions to meet market needs
  • Reduced number of project management and engineering support hours required per project
