Tamrotor Marine Compressors (TMC), a world-leading supplier of compressed air systems for marine and offshore use, has opened an office in Busan, Korea.
Headed by Mr. Tom Erik Ranheim, a long-term area sales manager for the region, the office will strengthen TMC's presence in the very important yard market in Korea and the surrounding geographies.
In addition to Mr. Ranheim, who will focus on sales, the Busan operation will start out with two service engineers and an administrative assistant, all recruited locally.
"TMC's vision is to have the most satisfied customers in the marine and offshore business, and we always have our customers' best interests at heart," says Mr. Per Kjellin, managing director of TMC.
"Establishing TMC Korea is an important step on the road to fulfilling our vision for our Korean customers," he adds.
Mr. Ranheim, head of TMC Korea, says: "Our customers are professional and demanding and have placed a lot of business with TMC. We want to earn their continued support by increasing our service level and to be present when and where they need it without having to worry about time difference, geographical distance or communication problems.
"Local presence in Korea means that we can serve the Korean yards even better than we have in the past," he adds. "With local TMC resources for technical service and back office services such as documentation handling, we can be even quicker and more efficient in our dealings with customers in Korea and the other markets in the region."
The office is located in Ocean Tower, Woo-dong 760-3.
