Fixed vertical-rail fall-arrest system

The HONORail-8800 system is a ridged, vertically mounted rail, through which a traveller atomically follows the user smoothly while moving up and down a ladder or stairs. The traveller can be sledded in the HONORail-8800 at the top or bottom entry gates. If the user trips and falls, the trolley is immediately activated and arrests the fall within centimetres.

With the HONORail-8800 the user can overcome great heights (for example cage ladders, microwave towers and flairs) while taking breaks during climbing by taking his/her hands off the rungs and relaxing.

The HONORail-8800 system is a ridged, vertical fall-protection system, often mounted to cage ladders and other risky objects. No revolving parts means it is almost maintenance-free.

The HONORail-8800 system is approved according to EC Directives 89/686/EEC and the European Standard EN-353-1:2002 and passed additional tests in accordance within the HSE safety alert by TÜV NEL (East Kilbride, UK) in November 2007.

Horizontal lifeline (HLL) system

In many different situations while working on height a permanent installed HLL is unnecessary or too costly, so a quick and easy to install temporary HLL is ideal, especially because several types of fall-arrest device (lanyards, MiniBlocs or recovery fall-arrest blocks) can be used.

For this purpose the HONORope-T was developed. Including a rope vise tensioner, this system is certified for a span of up to 25m and for five users, according to EG Directives 89/686/EEC and EN-795/A1 Class-C.

Personal escape devices

To abandon ship in case of calamities HONOR offers two different personal offshore escape sets: the RG-150 and the RG-200.

Both systems are safe, secure and user friendly and anyone can use them with minimal instruction. They provide an easy and versatile means of escape from offshore platforms, ships, rigs, cranes and other onshore structures where a rapid but controlled descent is required.

Their features and applications include:

• ESCape Set type RG-150: features include self-braking mechanism and a press-stop to prevent the user from descending too fast; 11mm kernmantle rope; and maximum descent height of 200m according to EN-341 Class A
• ESCape Set type RG-200: features include self-braking mechanism and a press-stop to prevent the user from descending too fast; 9mm kernmantle rope; and maximum descent height of 150m, according to EN-341 Class B
• Ready-to-use set, complete with triangular sit harness with quick-release and painter-following line
• Escape to liferafts as a tertiary means of escape
• Escape from drill derricks as a monkey-board escape system
• Escape from cranes – onshore and offshore
• Escape from FPSOs as a personal escape system or liferaft entry system

Multiple-person escape device

In cases where personal escape devices are not the first choice, the PED-6 multiple person device provides a solution. It is mainly used in situations where there is more time to abandon ship and/or an automatic system is preferred. Just put on the helicopter sling, step overboard and the user descends automatically.
