NEW GRP ROTATING BEACON FOR HAZARDOUS AREAS
Model TH12, Zones 1 & 2, EExd IIB T4 & T5
ATEX Approved Ex II 2G, IP66 & 67

MEDC, the manufacturer of alarm, signal, control and communications equipment for potentially explosive atmospheres and harsh environments is pleased to announce another innovation. The TH12 is the company’s first GRP rotating beacon for hazardous areas.

The TH12 uses MEDC’s innovative GRP technology and stainless steel metal fixings to give a product that is robust and completely corrosion-free. The use of GRP in explosion-proof manual, visual & audible alarms and loudspeakers was pioneered by MEDC and has driven the growth of the company worldwide.

With ingress protection to IP66 & 67, this unit is ideal for the harshest environments both onshore and offshore.

Outline specifications for the TH12 are:-

• Zones Zone 1 and Zone 2 use.
• Certification EExd IIB T4 & T5, ATEX Ex II 2G
• Certified Temperature -55oC to +70oC
• Certifying Authority BASEEFA. (CENELEC approved.)
• Ingress Protection IP66/67.
• Material GRP, Corrosion Free Construction. Including flame path.
• Power Rating Up to 70W filament bulb.
• Entries 2 x M20 entries.
• Colour Selection Wide range of lens and body colours available.

The TH12 comes with MEDC’s 2 year warranty.
