Mobilarm delivers crew safety monitoring systems for use on offshore commercial vessels and marine facilities. These systems generate immediate and automatic alarms in the event of man overboard (MOB) or other personnel-related emergencies. These systems integrate with on-board navigation systems and / or GPS to provide in-water tracking of man overboard (MOB) casualties. Mobilarm products enable offshore marine employers to maximise the company’s efficiency in emergency response procedures, remove significant identified risks from the workplace, reduce the likelihood of related fatalities and therefore provide a safer working environment for their employees. Man overboard locator beacon The Mobilarm V100 VPIRB is the first fully automated locator beacon to transmit a 'man overboard' distress message and real-time coordinates of the person in the water. It transmits the signal via DSC and VHF to all vessels or receivers in range. Automatic and localised MAYDAY Since chance of survival is directly related to the length of time spent in the water, the automatic and localised MAYDAY means that the people in the best position to rescue a MOB casualty – the other crew on board – can be deployed as quickly as possible. Benefits of the Mobilarm V100 VPIRB include:
Crew monitoring and reporting system Safeguard your crew from going overboard undetected with Mobilarm Crewsafe® - the crew safety monitoring system that immediately detects emergency events such as MOB and automatically raises a vessel-wide alarm to ensure a fast and effective rescue of persons in the water. In an MOB emergency, the system automatically logs a GPS waypoint to mark the incident location, provides range and bearing information back to the incident waypoint and raises the alarm to alert all crew. Further advantages of the system include manual alarm activation, and individual duress alarm should an emergency other than MOB occur anywhere within the network’s coverage. Crew members wear a compact tag that communicates with the system via a network of wireless routers installed on the facility or vessel. Based on 'fail-safe' principles, any break in the signal raises the alarm. Crew members are therefore guaranteed full protection at all times. Advantages include:
