Noreq AS, the Norwegian supplier of maritime deck equipment, has been awarded a contract by one of the world’s leading offshore companies, Saipem (Portugal) Comercio Maritimo, worth approximately NOK six million. Noreq will supply lifeboats and davits for Saipem’s laying barge, the «Castoro Sei», in connection with upgrading of the barge before it enters Norwegian waters.

“We regard it as a great honour and a declaration of trust that one of the world’s leading offshore companies has chosen Noreq AS as supplier of rescue equipment,” comments Trond Paulsen. The delivery will take place in autumn 2007.

Noreq has also received an order from Eidsvik Skipsbyggeri shipyard for the delivery of an MOB-boat and davit for Yard no. 73, which is a trawler/purse seiner being built for owners Rederi Knester AS of Austevoll in Norway. The equipment will be delivered in May 2007.

Noreq AS develops, produces and delivers maritime equipment for a global market. The most important basis for the company’s product development is its long experience of and competence from the maritime industry. Close contact with customers ensures the feedback necessary to further develop the market’s best product types within life-saving equipment, cranes, fenders and Fi-Fi. Noreq has a network of agents in all parts of the world, ensuring a short distance to customers and partners.
