Big success for the world’s largest enclosed lifeboat (102 persons)!

Since developing the 102 persons totally enclosed lifeboat Norwegian Maritime Equipment AS has delivered the boat to several projects. Examples are: FPSO Exxon A, FPSO Brazil, FPSO Zafiro, FPSO Zikomba, FPSO Mystra. The boat has also been delivered to Noble Drilling and Stolt Offshore. The market responded favourably to this size of lifeboat and we are now wondering how long it will take before Norwegian Maritime Equipment AS will have to launch an even larger totally enclosed lifeboat!

Norwegian Maritime Equipment AS awarded the contract to supply life saving equipment to AGIP!

Agip Kazakhstan North Caspian Operating Company NV (Agip KCO) on behalf of its joint venture partners will drill an exploration well on each of the Aktote and Kairan locations offshore in the North-East Caspian Sea in 2003. The drilling rigs will be located on artificial islands constructed in water depths of 2m. The order consists of 6 totally enclosed lifeboats with a capacity of 60 persons each, equipped with 48Hp Bukh engines, and 6 rig davits specially designed for the enclosed lifeboats. Also ordered are 2 NORMAR 750 Fast Rescue Boats with Bukh/Steyr engines and 2 single arm davits of 3t capacity.
