The company has over 40 years of experience in the design and manufacture of products for some of the world’s most challenging environments, and has been consistently innovative, working closely with multi-national oil companies, end users and test houses to develop market leading integrated survival systems. 93204 NOMEX GORE-TEX® HELICOPTER PASSENGER SURVIVAL SUITSThe 93204 Goretex survival suit, which is approved by the Civil Aviation Authority to CAA Spec 19 and by Shell to EP93-1660, is in use all over the world. The innovative design, based on anthropometric and ergonomic data, ensures ultimate performance in survival environments. The 93204 Helicopter Passenger Suit has excellent sizing and maximum dexterity. The suit's articulated arms and knees ensure that the wearer is comfortable throughout the flight, and it is tailored to maximise freedom of movement, a vital element in offshore and marine survival situations. The 93204 is manufactured using high performance components and fabrics including Nomex Gore-tex®, which is extremely strong yet lightweight, highly breathable and flame retardant to BSEN533, and New Zipper's precision engineered BDM zips, which provide a total barrier, but which give easy and speedy access for donning or in an emergency situation. The 93204 can be worn with the stand alone B28 Thinsulate Shortie thermal lining or alternatively can be fitted with the integral, but removable, B48 quilted Thinsulate thermal lining, forming an insulated 2-in-1 suit, donned in one simple operation. It is also compatible with the new Variable Insulation Garment (VIG) which is designed to increase comfort in the helicopter, but which can be inflated with CO2 gas to provide additional insulation in the event of an immersion emergency. AIR POCKET PLUS HELICOPTER EMERGENCY UNDERWATER BREATHING SYSTEM AND LAP LIFE JACKET AIR POCKET COMBINATIONAir Pocket rebreather technology is the end result of a research project funded by Shell Expro and Esso, which involved Shark Group's expertise in the design and manufacture of breathing systems and the knowledge of leading physiologists, including Professor Mike Tipton, in the development of an underwater breathing system which could assist the user to overcome the effects of cold shock and escape from a ditched helicopter. Air Pocket rebreather technology has won numerous design and innovation awards. The Air Pocket Plus provides an additional breath of air automatically on immersion, allowing rebreathing even when there was no time to take a breath before being submerged. Air Pocket Plus is an industry standard product, in service worldwide, and rebreather training is included in the OPITO offshore survival training courses. Air Pocket Plus is worn between the lobes of the Mk28WB lifejacket. The award winning LAP jacket, developed as a result of an R&D project commissioned by ConocoPhillips and BP, combines a high buoyancy lifejacket with the Air Pocket Plus rebreather, thus reducing the number of items to be donned. LAP is approved to CAA Spec 5 and has been widely adopted in the worldwide offshore oil and gas industry. The most recent development is the Shark Military Rebreather, developed under contract to the UK MoD Sea Survival Department.
