Walsall - Explosion Protected Emergency Shutdown Equipment

Walsall produces emergency shutdown equipment, enclosures, terminal boxes, lighting, accessories and other products.

All products within our "Ex" portfolio are designed to withstand the rigours of the harshest offshore environments whilst maintaining explosion protection to the latest worldwide standards. Walsall's customisation facility enables the production of individual items built to clients' specifications.

EMERGENCY SHUTDOWN EQUIPMENT

Walsall offers a wide range of manual call points, break glass units, sounders, beacons, loudspeakers and signalling equipment for installations in areas where emergency shutdown procedures are required.

Walsall's Vantage range of sounders, beacons and loudspeakers are compression moulded in-house, giving the ultimate in corrosion protection and ease of installation.

The E030 range of manual call points and break glass units are manufactured from GRP. Options include break glass, key switch, switch or pushbutton initiation with a variety of differing resistor configurations. The range is completed with an EEx d manual call point range designed for extreme conditions.

INCREASED SAFETY (EEx e) / INTRISICALLY SAFE (EEx i) ENCLOSURES

Walsall's range of SL, AL, FXL and XL approved enclosures are designed for the most severe conditions. Manufactured from stainless (316L) steel or mild steel with a zinc plating followed by any coloured powder coat or powder coated aluminium, Walsall's Ex ranges are approved for Zone 0, Zone 1 and Zone 2, plus the dust zone equivalents with some products approved up to IP68.

The GL and GVU ranges are manufactured from Glass Reinforced Polyester (GRP), again designed to meet the harshest conditions. All are approved for Zone 0, 1, 2 and the dust zone equivalents.

FLAMEPROOF ENCLOSURES (EEx d)

The ASMT range is designed for even more arduous conditions and are cast in iron or aluminium. Both versions feature a full range of complementary paint finishes and surface protection. The AMST is approved for Zone 0, Zone 1 and Zone 2 and dust zone equivalents. If a tough solution is the requirement, ASMT is the answer.

APPROVALS

All Walsall products are approved to the latest European ATEX standards, along with GOST R, GOST K, IECEX and UL / cUL pending. The company is also fully ISO9001:2000 approved and listed as an approved supplier to the majority of worldwide companies within the petrochemical markets.
