VIEC - VESSEL INTERNAL ELECTROSTATIC COALESCERThe Vessel Internal Electrostatic Coalescer (VIEC) will solve your emulsion and water in oil problems. The VIEC can be installed inside the first- or second-stage separator, and thereby enhance speed and efficiency of the separation process. Specifically designed to tolerate 100% water and gas, VIEC will contribute to more cost-effective and environmentally friendly production by enabling increased production capacity, reducing heat requirements and the need for demulsifiers. LOWACC - LOW WATER CONTENT COALESCEROur Low Water Content Coalescer (LOWACC) is designed to operate downstream of the VIEC to knock out the last traces of water. With the same robust design as VIEC, this enables one-stage separation and enhances heavy oil separation. The LOWACC is designed to be used in both high and low pressure separators, and is particularly good for separators with difficult separation or heavy emulsions. Due to longer retention time in the electrostatic field combined with di-electrophoresis effect, LOWACC can give you export quality of oil (0.5%) without any further treatment. ILMS - INDUCTIVE LEVEL MEASUREMENT SYSTEMThe Inductive Level Measurement System (ILMS) is a unique level profiler. It clearly determines the transition from water to oil, and measures the oil content in through the water phase. It also detects sand depositions. The ILMS can measure both vertically and horizontally, and it can be installed in several places throughout the vessel, using the same 2in nozzles to penetrate the pressure vessel with cables, and it is very robust to phenomena such as scaling. SEPARATORSSeparators have been designed and fabricated by Hamworthy for many years, and in the past five years we have delivered more than twenty separators. With our own proprietary electrostatic internals included, we are particularly good at designing separators for heavy or difficult separable oil, as well as for applications with produced water and sand problems. PURITECH FINE FILTERThe Puritech fine filter is a water injection filter with pre-determined filtration efficiency, trouble free operation with a minimum of downtime and manpower requirements. CFD - COMPUTATIONAL FLUID DYNAMICSOur CFD group supports our laboratory and ongoing projects with analyses of the separation processes. This gives us a unique possibility to know what happens inside the separator, making it possible to design the most cost-effective separators for our customers. LABORATORY SERVICES Fluid characterization is of great importance for understanding the aspects of petroleum processing. To fill the void between university petroleum research and operational decisions, we have formed a laboratory to perform applied science within the field of oil separation technology. With our experience and hands on approach to operational problems and challenges, we intend to meet the requirements for relevant petroleum tests and ultimately improve the predictability of separation phenomena. We offer customized or standard experiments both in our laboratory, and offshore with our mobile test separator.
