Sivam - Control Lines, Cable Protectors, Hydraulic Pumping Units, Electric Heater Units and Chemical Injection Skids

Control line and ESP cable protectors

Sivam has a complete line of control line and ESP cable protectors. The company has developed a line of clamps for most common sizes of completion tubing. Both the single protector, Kwik, and the dual completion version, B-Kwik, are very robust, forged steel with rapid connectors.

Both cross coupling protectors and middle joint types are available. The main feature of these cable protectors is the absolute absence of any hang-up points. This is why Sivam can guarantee that these protectors will go in and out of the hole without any problems.

The engineering department is also available for special combinations of power cable and hydraulic or mono-conductor lines for any size of tubing.

Sivam has designed a range of Multi-kwik protectors (patent-pending number RM2007A000624) which adapt to any cable size.

Hydraulic pumping units

Sivam designs and assembles Powerlift (patent pending number RN2009U000010), an innovative hydraulic long-stroke pumping unit for use in sucker rod completion, specifically developed for fields with heavy crude oil and for sucker rod completions.

Pumping unit benefits:

  • Produce more oil at deeper depth versus beam pumps so far used
  • Use lighter sucker rods, therefore less power is needed
  • Volumetric efficiency of the pump is higher due to the reduced speed
  • Less buckling effect in the rods
  • Reduced number of cycles to achieve the same production
  • No peak torque limitation
  • Can set the down-stroke speed and up-stroke speed independently
  • Can be used on a rig floor for testing purposes

Our Powerlift unit doesn't need any civil engineering works. The duration of the rig-up for the Powerlift unit is about three hours. It is not necessary to employ great means in order to handle the equipment. The assembly can be done by a specialised technician. The well completion is the standard API sucker rod.

This system has been engineered and constructed to comply with ATEX (European standard for hazardous environments) norms and with the environmental normative related to oil spill.

Sivam has several hydraulic pumping units available on a rental basis that can be used for well tests lasting a few days or for long-term rentals.

Spooling units for line or cable control

Sivam also designs, manufactures and assembles spooling units for the running of control / injection lines or mono-conductor cables. This equipment is needed when cables go very deep and the purpose is to ensure that the cables or lines are kept in tension so that there is no slack on the line and they do not get damaged.

Our spooling unit can be equipped with a filling pump in order to monitor the pressure during running in (if the injection line is damaged pressure suddenly decreases) and with a half moon sheave for 4,000kg safe working load, which serves to guide the injection line straight in to the well.

Sivam can design and manufacture spooling units with either a pneumatic, electric or diesel motor. Several spooling units are available on a rental basis.

Electric heaters for crude oil

Sivam has designed and assembled an electric heater unit to increase crude oil temperature, thus reducing its viscosity and making it possible to be pumped easily through the pipe lines.

The system utilises heating elements fed by an external source of electricity. Output oil temperature is monitored by the keyboard.

Chemical injection skids

Sivam also designs, manufactures and assembles chemical injection skids for various applications to fit customers' needs. We have designed a system which automatically switches high-viscosity chemicals to solvents in order to re-establish the required rate and pressure.

Chemical injection systems can be supplied with single or double source tank, gas or electric or pneumatic motor driven, with or without ATEX certification.

Cascade systems for breathing air and special containers

Sivam has the capability to design and construct cascade systems for breathing air and special containers such as completion utility racks and workshops. We also build special portable container units for specific oilfield applications such as workshops for pumps or completions, office / warehouse, etc.

Multi-phase flow meters

Sivam sells and rents an innovative multi-phase flow meter which is easy to install and operate and is non-radioactive. The meter can record gas, water and oil flow rates, water cut and GVF, achieving a complete well diagnostic without the use of dedicated PVT data or any other information on the well.

Gas incinerators for the offshore industry

Sivam designs, manufactures and assembles high-efficiency gas incinerators which are in line with all environmental norms.
