Fine Tubes - Corrosion-Resistant Stainless Steel and Nickel Tubing

Fines Tubes is a specialist manufacturer of high specification and precision metal tubing in stainless steel, nickel and titanium alloys. We are committed to providing exceptional customer service, continuous improvement and added value through product innovation. Our products include:

  • Seamless stainless steel, nickel and titanium tubes in straight length or coils from 3mm (0.040in) outer diameter (OD) to 31mm (1½in) OD
  • Welded, welded and drawn or bead-reduced stainless-steel tubes and nickel tubing in straight length or coils from 3mm (0.118in) OD to 28mm (1¼in) OD

Duplex tubes and Super Duplex tubes

Fine Tubes has recently made investments in new manufacturing equipment to produce Super Duplex tubes and Duplex tubes, seam welded tubing and redrawn tubing. The investments are targeted at supplying tubular product in these corrosion-resistant grades for applications in the oil and and gas, chemical and desalination industry sectors. The tubes are manufactured from strip material, redrawn and heat-treated to homogenise the weld seam and produce tubes with equivalent mechanical and corrosion performance to seamless tubing, but at a lower cost.

Corrosion-resistant stainless steel and nickel alloy tubing

Fine Tubes’ corrosion-resistant stainless steel and nickel alloy tubing products are regularly used in some of the most demanding environments in the oil and gas industry such as subsea and downhole conditions in seawater and sour oil well applications.

Straight length tubing

Fine Tubes supplies straight length tubing in austenitic, super-austenitic and Super Duplex stainless steels, titanium grades and nickel alloys.

Seamless oil and gas tubing

Seamless tubing is used for hydraulic and instrumentation applications to control measuring devices and supply hydraulic equipment and tools. Fine Tubes’ oil and gas tubing is used in onshore control panels, topside processing facilities and on subsea manifolds and templates up to 2,500m below the sea's surface.

Coiled tubing

Fine Tubes supplies coiled tubing for control lines in seam welded / redrawn and seamless conditions. Lengths up to 15,000m (49,000ft) are produced and include orbital joints. Coiled oil and gas tubing is typically provided in diameters from ¼in to 1in OD and is used for the following applications:

  • Safety-critical hydraulic control of sub surface safety valves
  • Subsea control lines
  • Downhole control and monitoring in intelligent well completions
  • Chemical injection using acids, surfactants and methanol

Coiled tubing is also used in onshore or topside hydraulic and instrumentation systems where the longer coils result in fewer connections and can increase the integrity of the overall system.

Pressure tubing

Fine Tubes provides pressure tubing from 3mm (0.118in) OD up to 63mm (2.475in) OD for precision instrumentation and monitoring applications on drilling tools using high-strength stainless steels, nickel alloys and cobalt alloy R30035.

High pressure, durable tubing

Some operating conditions can require Fine Tubes’ products to be rated up to 60,000psi operating pressure and with a tensile strength up to 220ksi.

Welded and drawn tubes

Fine Tubes’ welded and drawn tubes sizes are available in the following sizes:

  • Up to 38.1mm (1.5in) OD
  • Straight lengths up to 16m (51ft)
  • Coil tubes (with orbital joints) up to 12,000m (40,000ft) long

Seamless tubes

Fine Tubes supplies seamless tubes in the following sizes:

  • 3.0mm (0.118in) to 50.8mm (2in) OD
  • Straight lengths up to 16m (51ft)

Seamless coiled tubing is available from 6.35mm (0.25in) through to 25.4mm (1in) OD.

High-quality tubing

The Fine Tubes quality system has been approved by third party audit and evaluation by the British Standards Institute to AS9100 rev B, BS EN 9001:2000, assessed in accordance with the requirements of BS EN 9100:2003, as specified in SBAC/ASCS document TS157 issue four.

In addition, Fine Tubes’ quality system meets the following standards:

  • TUV AD-2000 Merkblatt W0/TRD 100
  • Pressure equipment directive (PED)
  • NADCAP approval of ultrasonic testing and heat treatment facilities
  • Rolls-Royce Sabre
  • Rolls-Royce Deutschland
  • Messier-Dowty PRIDE
  • Westland Supplier approval

Fine Tubes is also listed on the IAQG Oasis and First Point Assessment database.
