Hollandia's substantial expertise in the area of infrastructure waterworks is directly linked to its offshore activities, where high strength steels such as S460 and S690 steel qualities are applied. Offshore high voltage stations (OHVS)

Over three years ago Hollandia and Srukton Systems established a joint venture for the growing market of offshore high voltage stations (AC OHVS stations), which are part of offshore wind farms in the North Sea.

This JV is called the Strukton Hollandia JV and is a successful player in this field of industry. The projects are contracted on an EPIC contracting basis. This means that SHJV is taken on the engineering, procurement, construction and installation of these offshore facilities.

Projects under construction are the Dan Tysk OHVS for Vattenfall Europe Gmbh and the Riffgatt OHVS for EBW Gmbh. The suburb assembly facilities of Hollandia in Krimpen aan de IJssel near Rotterdam and the free waterfront access to sea is of great value to these projects.

Offshore jackets and topsides for oil and gas platforms

In the upstream oil and gas business Hollandia's facilities are also of great importance to serve the market regarding the construction of offshore topsides and jackets. Hollandia is contracting these projects from construction only to the full scope of EPIC. The assembly halls and load-out facilities can handle up to 4,000t of topside weight. Project references are the Grove field development for Newfield Petroleum and the South Hook LNG modules.

High strength steel (S690) specialist

Hollandia is undoubtedly the most experienced fabricator of high strength steel structures. The high level knowledge of welding engineering and material technology guarantees a high-quality execution of the projects. Project references include the CastoroOne stinger of SAIPEM, the Solitaire stinger for Allseas, jacking, fixation and skidding systems for GustoMSC, and many other examples of high strength steel structures.

Other major achievements in projects with demanding structural steel capabilities are the roof structure of the new Wembly Stadium in London, the structure of the Pinnacle Tower in London, the Samual Beckett bridge in Dublin designed by Calatrava and many others.
