In the year of the Golden Tiger, Weldindustry has signed up Singapore-based company Marine Cadcam to represent them in the Far East.
The region, with well developed offshore oil and gas builders in Singapore, has a growing ship building and repairing sector in the surrounding areas. Marine Cadcam's role will be to support Weldindustry with sales, implementation and support projects. Detailed training has already been started to secure the alliance.
"This is one of the most important strategic measures we can take in order to fulfil our goal of a larger footprint in this region," says Tore Haukanes, CEO of Weldindustry. "Local support will ensure that WeldEye is an application with high confidence."
Marine Cadcam is one of the biggest detailed engineering consultants in Singapore with its head office at Singapore and a branch office in Batam, Indonesia. Together with their associate, L Y Chan, a specialist hull structure 3-D detailed engineering company, Marine Cadcam provides applications from small tugs to large offshore submersible rigs and jackups, as well as basic designs for conventional vessels and conversion designs for floating storage offloading units.
Weldindustry, together with Marine Cadcam, will serve the growing clientele in the Far East and expects to bring the WeldEye quality system's powerful productivity features and welding documentation improvement capabilities to shipyards and fabrication yards in the region.
