SeaMark Systems - Subsea Engineering Equipment

SeaMark Systems Limited manufactures and supplies a range of subsea products which include: mattresses for protection, stabilisation and anti-scour, anti-fouling identification markers, anti-fouling structural cladding and the design of fabric formwork systems and offshore grouting services.

We have been developing innovative solutions for clients since 1976, and are well acquainted with the issues facing engineers today. Our products and services have been successfully deployed by major clients such as Shell, Esso, North Sea Sun Oil and Hyundai Heavy Industries.

SUBSEA ENGINEERING PROBLEMS

SeaMark Systems have 24 years of experience in subsea engineering and are able to advise on all aspects of the offshore industry including thermal insulation, buoyancy, stabilisation, protection, scour, repair / strengthening, inspection, marine growth control, tubular connections, underbase stabilisation, grouting quality control.

Our established range of subsea products and services includes:

  • Concrete / Bitumen Mattresses
  • Concrete Structures
  • Concrete / Foam composite
  • Fabric Formwork Grouting
  • Artificial Seaweed Fronds
  • Grouted Clamps
  • Flooded Member Detection
  • Markers
  • Antifouling Cladding

  • Silicate Grouting
  • Grout Density Monitoring
  • Fibre Reinforced Grouting
CONCRETE MATTRESSES

Utilising our civil engineering expertise, we design, manufacture and supply flexible pre-cast concrete mattresses used for weight coating, support, stabilisation and protection of pipelines and umbilicals.

Massiv Mesh is a flexible, concrete mattress consisting of hexagonal concrete elements linked together with high strength non-degradable polypropylene rope. The mattress has many uses in the protection, support and stabilisation of subsea structures and has been designed for its flexibility and ease of handling during installation.

Flexiweight is a concrete mattress consisting of hexagonal section bars, reinforced with steel and linked by polypropylene rope. Flexiweight is flexible, robust, designed for ease of installation and available in a range of sizes and concrete densities.

SeaMat is a stabilisation and protection system, based on bitumen coated aggregates, encased within a man-made woven fibre envelope, complete with integral lifting strops. Reinforcement is achieved by the use of a polypropylene Geogrid cage.

We also supply a range of concrete structures for subsea and offshore applications including lift frames for subsea installation by a diver or ROV, pre-cast concrete units for crossings, ramps and supports, and also pre-cast concrete tunnels for pipeline protection.

CONCRETE / FOAM COMPOSITE

SeaMark Systems has developed a unique patent protected insulation product based on a concrete and foam composite. The concrete provides an external structure which resists hydrostatic loads and allows for the offshore deployment of the unit. The foam lies totally within and totally protected by the concrete and provides very high levels of thermal insulation.

The composite also has a high thermal inertia which provides very long cool down periods in case of unplanned emergency shut down of the typical subsea flowline.

The Half shell design of the concrete/foam composite was created to provide very high levels of thermal insulation as a retrofit to an existing subsea pipeline system. The installation regime involved lifting the pipe bundle and closing the pair of shells around the bundle.
