CCI received a million-dollar order from the Techint Argentina Headquarters for the supply of globe valves to be utilized at their OCP S.A. pipeline in Ecuador.
The valves range in size from 8in (200mm) to 16in (406mm), with design pressures up to 1,870psig (130barg) and temperatures that range from 180F (82 C) to 200F (93C).
When installed, these valves will be located in the remote inland fields of Lago-Agrio in Ecuador through the Ecuadorian Andes mountains with drop heights of up to 900ft (3,000m) to the Marine Terminal on the Pacific ocean at Esmeraldas harbor. Severe conditions (36C) contributed to the company choosing CCI’s DRAG and advanced globe valve technologies, which have proven capable of reliably handling high pressure drops where required with low noise and vibration, a high degree of controllability, and long service life.
CCI is the world's leading manufacturer of severe service control valves and hydraulic and pneumatic actuators for coal, oil, gas, and nuclear power plants; the oil and gas-producing and hydrocarbon industries; and pulp and paper plants worldwide. With headquarters in Rancho Santa Margarita, California, and offices worldwide, CCI also operates major design and manufacturing facilities in Winterthur, Switzerland; Saffle, Sweden; Vienna, Austria; Osaka, Japan; and Kyunggi-Do, South Korea.
