Oil and gas valves and steam traps

Just Valves supplies engineered valves and steam traps to the oil and gas industry. Our valves are among the most reliable and easy to repair on the market. Today, our extensive range of gate, globe, check, ball and butterfly valves are installed in a broad range of the oil and gas industry's toughest applications, from complete valve packages for terminals and carriers, to four-way ball valve packages. Hydraulic pressure testing

All oil and gas transmission pipelines, after initial pre-fill, must be pressure tested to stringent specifications. Oil field pressure vessels and components in the form of tanks, receivers, accumulator valves, piping, fittings, hoses, gauges, etc. are subject to regular pressure testing. Haskel test packs and other purpose built systems are used for proof, leak, burst, pulse, fatigue and calibration testing to ensure safe operation.

As part of our quality control we request that the client supply information on the type of service in which the valve operates; process temperature, pressure and preferred packing. Each valve overhauled is returned with a report for future reference which outlines the work carried out, the results of our QA tests and any problems that may have been found.

Ball grinding, specialised welding and hydrostatic and gas pressure testing to 20,000psig are just some of the processes available in the refurbishment programme. Actuator services such as torque testing and instrumentation are carried out with a high level of expertise.

Hot-dip galvanising

The use of metallic zinc coatings to protect iron or steel surfaces is well established, with common coating techniques including metal spraying, electroplating, painting and hot-dip galvanizing. Of these approaches, none can surpass the protection offered by hot-dip galvanizing.

The zinc coating is thicker than with other methods and the molten zinc bonds to the product surface to achieve the most complete coverage of potential corrosion spots. The result is a reliable and robust finish which delivers cost savings at the point of manufacture, high resistance to damage during transport and installation, and long-term economies through reduced maintenance costs and an extended product life.
