Mareco - Chemical Injection Valves for Subsea Oil and Gas Production Systems

Mareco AS was established in 1985 as an independent engineering company with special competence in subsea oil and gas production systems.

Today the company specialises in the production of subsea chemical injection valves. MARECO AS also provides a consulting service.

Our main competence exists in the areas of subsea control systems, subsea instrumentation and electronics, subsea intervention, subsea valves and actuators and general subsea mechanical design.

MARECO THROTTLE VALVE – CHEMICAL INJECTION VALVE

The MARECO chemical injection valve "MTV" is fully developed in house. As part of a normal service, MARECO carries out all the design, engineering, construction, assembly and FAT testing in house. Now the company is in a position to offer the MTV to the worldwide subsea industry. All components are fabricated through a network of highly qualified subcontractors.

The complete unit with valve and actuator has undergone significant development and thorough qualification testing. Today it is recognized as a compact, neat and lightweight product.

The basic valve concept can be adapted to a wide range of applications that satisfy client and project specifications.

The following main valve applications currently apply:

  • Remote operated retrievable valve - electrical connector rear mounted
  • Remote operated retrievable valve - electrical connector front mounted
  • Remote operated fixed mounted
  • ROV operated retrievable valve

SUBSEA INSTRUMENTATION AND ELECTRONICS

MARECO has substantial know-how in the area of subsea control systems. Important issues in this context are hydraulics, instrumentation, electronics, power supply, theoretical analysis, studies and prototyping.

MARECO has developed several communication protocols in house and can today deliver valves with the following options:

  • CANopen
  • Modbus
  • Profibus
  • MARECO ASCII protocol
  • IEC 870

SUBSEA MECHANICAL DESIGN

MARECO supplies mechanical designs created by skilled and experienced subsea designers using the 3D Inventor application. Our design focus lies within small modules and products where expertise regarding pressure vessels, canisters, penetrations, connections, gaskets and seals is of primary importance.

QUALITY

The company believes that a strong focus on quality is the key to satisfying customers. We have established our own quality policy and quality management system in order to become a competitive and successful organisation that provides high-quality products and services.

MARECO AS is certified according to ISO9001:2000.

HSE

Health, safety and the environment have a high focus at all levels of our organisation. We have established our own HSE policy.
