Trevor Grose, Senior Petroleum Engineer, BP

Grose first entered the energy industry in 1981 after graduating from Paisley University with an honours degree in chemistry. He worked in laboratory analysis before moving into the role of operational offshore chemist. In 1983, he joined BP, working in production chemistry for the next eight years before joining the forties field team, where he provided completion design, perforating and well performance support to BP's well operations.

He then made the switch to reservoir engineering in a surveillance role, managing the day-to-day reservoir performance within forties. Grose moved onto ETAP in 1998, prior to start up, and spent five years working on Marnock and Machar, supervising daily reservoir management and well intervention work. During this period he also took on a lead role for BP within the reservoir surveillance network as it became a global issue for the company.
