Jan Inge Delane, Chief Engineer of Platform Technology, Statoil
Dalane is the chief engineer of platform of technology at Statoil. He graduated as a civil engineer in 1983 from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Trondheim. He was awarded a PhD on the reliability of offshore structures in 1993. He has worked for Statoil since 1988, on the design and operation of marine structures.
Tougher standards in corrosion control and fracture risk analysis have been put in place.
