Dalane is the chief engineer of platform of technology at Statoil. He graduated as a civil engineer in 1983 from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Trondheim. He was awarded a PhD on the reliability of offshore structures in 1993. He has worked for Statoil since 1988, on the design and operation of marine structures.
