From offshore West Africa to the Gulf of Mexico, millions of crane transfers are performed every year; but unlike the aviation sector, details of incidents and accidents are virtually impossible to obtain. This lack of knowledge and understanding has generated misconceptions of personnel marine transfer and mistrust of new alternative, safer means of transportation.
