TGS will perform reprocessing of over 13,550km of 2D multi-client seismic data in waters off the Faroe Islands, in the North Atlantic.
The project, Offshore Faroe Reprocessing 2011, will extend to the UK / Faroe border based on data provided by the Faroese Earth and Energy Directorate.
TGS will use advanced processing techniques that have successfully identified sub-basalt plays in the West of Shetland region over the last two years.
The firm will provide the reprocessed data to the undisclosed clients in the third quarter of 2011.
