Rolls-Royce has announced that it has won a £50m contract from Lewek Shipping, a subsidiary of Singapore company Ezra Holdings, to design and equip two advanced offshore ships.

The ships, which also mark the first Rolls-Royce contract from Ezra Holdings, will be built by Singapore-based Pan-United Marine and delivered in 2009, Rolls-Royce said in a statement.

Rolls-Royce said it will also deliver control and propulsion systems for the ultra-deepwater anchor-handling vessels.
