Exxon and Enbridge Plan Pipeline to US Gulf

06 June 2007 16:43

Canadian energy transportation and distribution company Enbridge and Exxon Mobil affiliate ExxonMobil Pipeline will assess the commercial development of a new US pipeline project, it was announced this week.

The pipeline is expected to transport crude oil from Patoka, Illinois to Beaumont, Texas and onward to Houston.

Enbridge says the pipeline project will provide competitive and timely access for US domestic and growing Canadian supplies of crude oil to be transported from the Patoka pipeline transportation hub to the US Gulf Coast.

The two companies are in discussion with potential shippers of Canadian crude oil to assess the scope, timing, and value of the project which is expected to be completed by the end of 2010.
