Statoil and emgs Team Up to Log Seabed

Seabed logging company emgs has teamed up with Statoil to develop new software and methods for the analysis of electromagnetic data from seabed logging in a year-long contract announced this week.

Seabed logging technology enables the detection of hydrocarbons beneath the seabed before drilling.

Statoil will be funding the project while emgs develop software for processing and imaging of electromagnetic data.
