28 June 2007 11:37

ExxonMobil Chemical has announced that it will add 130,000t of capacity a year to its Exxsol hydrocarbon fluids plant in Jurong Island in Singapore, taking the country's fluids production to over 500,000t a year.

ExxonMobil say the increased capacity is designed to meet the demand for differentiated hydrocarbon fluid products used for applications such as drilling mud oil, metal working and polymer processing.

Commercial quantities of the product from the new facility are expected to be available in the fourth quarter 2008.
