First Oil Shipment to North Korea to be Sent Next Week06 July 2007 16:44 South Korea will ship 6,200t of heavy fuel oil to North Korea next week as part of a promised 50,000t of oil. The shipment has been agreed on the condition the north disables its nuclear programme. Although North Korea has yet to shut down its nuclear facilities the US has told South Korea its does not oppose shipping part of the fuel aid to the north before then.
