Energy Giants Compete for Indian Gas Field

Indian oil and gas company Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC) has finalised a list of eight bidders for a stake sale in the Krishna-Godavri basin where it has discovered natural gas, according to Indian media reports.

US oil giant Chevron and ExxonMobil , France's Total, British owned BP and BG Group, Spanish company Repsol and Norway's Statoil and Huskey will bid, according to reports.

A partner is likely to be finalised by the end of the calendar year.
