French Company Wins Statoil Pipeline Contract30 August 2007 11:38 French engineering company Technip has been awarded a €24m contract by Norway's Statoil for the fabrication and installation of its Norwegian pipelines. The work will be carried out on the infield pipelines in Gjøa, located on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, approximately 45km west of Sognefjorden in water depths of 360m to 380m. The project consists of fabrication and installation of 25km of oil and gas production and gas lift pipelines. Technip's operations and engineering centre in Oslo, Norway will carry out the work on the pipelines which will be installed by a pipelay vessel from Technip's fleet.
