First Crude Found in South Egypt

UAE based oil and gas company Dana Gas has made the first discovery of crude oil in the far south of Egypt, according to state news agency MENA.

The company say it has discovered a field that could potentially contain eight million barrels of crude 4,000ft underground, about 80km northwest of Aswan near the town of Kom Ombo.
