BP Under Investigation After Alaskan Fire

12 September 2007 14:40

Alaskan state officials are investigating BP's oil facilities after a series of blazes.

A fire at the Lisburne field production plant, believed to be the fourth at a BP facility, has prompted an investigation into the company's installations in the region.

Previous incidents include natural gas release at the Prudhoe Bay field and a generator fire at the Badami field.

In a statement issued from BP in the US, the company says it will continue to co-operate with state authorities.
