ODIM Wins Support Vessel Deal

01 October 2007 14:47

Norwegian technology company ODIM has secured a $4.4m contract to supply new systems for recovery vessels for use by Statoil in the North Sea.

ODIM will equip two stand-by support vessels, owned by Danish support services company Esvagt, with a work boat reception system serving on stand-by duties in the Sleipner / Volve areas and Gjoa field in the North Sea.

The recovery systems are designed to make it easier for stand-by ships to deploy and recover high speed rescue boats in an emergency.

ODIM is due to supply equipment in the fourth quarter of 2008 and the first quarter of 2009.
