Three Firms Compete For Saudi Refinery

The world's largest oil company Saudi Aramco has received three bids for a contract to build a $8bn refinery in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province.

International engineering firms Foster Wheeler, WorleyParsons and SNC-Lavalin Group have submitted bids for the contract, according to US and Arab news reports.

The contract for the new facility is expected to be awarded in November 2007 with the refinery scheduled to be built at the end of 2011.
