Norwegian Subsea Company Wins BP Deal

Norwegian subsea engineering and construction company Subsea 7 has been awarded a $125m contract by BP for installation work in the Skarv and Idun fields in the North Sea.

Subsea 7 will engineer, fabricate and install 42km of single flowlines consisting of clad production flowlines and carbon steel gas injection flowlines.

Operations are due to begin in the second quarter 2010 using Subsea 7's pipelay vessel Skandi Navica.
