Tullow Abandons Ghana Oil Well

09 October 2007 16:12

UK-based independent oil and gas exploration company Tullow Oil has abandoned exploration at an appraisal well in Ghana after results revealed poor levels of commercial oil.

Following testing of the Tano block, Tullow says logging results showed sandstones would not flow at commercial rates.

The company says future operations in the area will focus on further appraisals of existing discoveries.
