Alaska Fire Limits BP Oil Production

A fire at a gathering centre at the Prudhoe Bay oil field in Alaska over the weekend has resulted in UK-based operator BP cutting output by 30,000 barrels per day for two weeks, a BP spokesman has told Reuters.

The fire occurred at Gathering Center 2 on the west side of the field.The cause of the incident is under investigation.
