IT Maximises Oil Production

US-based oil and gas exploration company Hunt Petroleum has teamed up with US-based global software providers Information Builders to help maximise production from its oil wells.

Hunt will use Information Builders' WebFOCUS software to provide real time reporting, dashboard management and data integration systems to monitor each of its oil wells.

The technology is designed to indicate any wells which are experiencing problems, helping to prioritise inspections.

Hunt's drilling operations are primarily conducted in the US and Gulf of Mexico.
